Whether or not you celebrate Valentine’s Day, or Single’s Awareness Day, or Galentine’s Day, you can always participate in the 22nd annual Valentines for Vets gift drive.
Every year, Assemblyman Ed Braunstein from Bayside and the Law Offices of Ann-Margaret Carrozza sponsor this event.
They are collecting donations of cars, candy (sugar-free is a plus), playing cards, puzzles, shaving cream, toothbrushes, toothpaste, new clothing items, robes, slippers and socks for the hospitalized and disabled veterans at the New York State Veterans Home at St. Albans and the St. Albans VA Community Living Center.
The deadline for donations is Monday, February 11.
Drop off the donations at one of these locations:
- Braunstein’s office; 213-33 39th Avenue, Suite 238
- Law Offices of Ann-Margaret Carrozza: 213-38 40th Avenue
- Community Board 11: 46-21 Little Neck Parkway
