The first 4DX movie theater in Queens will soon come to Flushing.
Tangram, a mixed-use, 1.2 million-square-foot development, announced that Regal will occupy a 34,000 square foot multiplex with seven cinemas.
What is 4DX, you ask? It combines state-of-the-art viewing with theme-park-like effects. In essence, you can feel the motions through vibrations and environmental factors like wind and rain.
The lease is for 20 years, Tangram says.
In addition to the theater, the development will have 320 luxury condos, 48 office condos, a four-star lifestyle hotel and other retail including a food hall, a beer garden and high-fashion shopping.
Construction is still ongoing at the site, located at 37th Avenue/Prince Street/39th Avenue/College Point Boulevard.

According to Queens Library, it removed the sign-in requirement to “fulfill its mission of providing easy access to information and improve the user experience, while also working to close the digital divide.”
In Fiscal Year 2018, more than 3 million people used the Queens Library’s Internet service, the library reported.
