Assemblyman Ron Kim announced last week that two bus routes that circle the historic St. George’s Episcopal Church on Main Street in Downtown Flushing and then idle all day long just feet from the church, will instead use a new turnaround starting this September.

Instead, the buses will idle as they wait to resume their route in front of Muni Lot 1 across from Queens Crossing Mall.

The Queens Examiner has more here.

Advocating for the change was part of Kim’s CleanFlushing Initiative.
