While most sports fans are still fully entrenched in football, hockey and basketball right now, the season of baseball is on the verge of blooming, and the annual Queen Baseball Convention is right around the corner.
The full schedule of events for this year’s convention has just been released, and special guests of the event include Mookie Wilson and Wally Backman.
Entry to QBC 15 costs $35 and can be ordered via EventBrite. All attendees will receive autographs from both Wilson and Backman on any item, within reason.
“Our design is a combination of ‘Fan Fest’ meets ‘Comic Con,'” says the QBC’s website. “The spirit of the day is for the fans to get together, celebrate baseball in Queens, and to bring the kiddies and bring the wife. Events will range from appearances by Mookie Wilson, Wally Backman, Ed Charles, Josh Lewin, panels, trivia, appearances by Mr. Met, Sandy the Seagull and Pee-Wee…and a whole lot more.”
In 2014, special guests included Ron Darling, Ed Kranepool, Art Shamsky and Mr. Met to name a few.
